We first met Jordan Postrel aka m.O.N.R.O.E. during our debut City Hearts Miami party when he came up to Mikey Lion and exclaimed “Holy shit you’re playing my track!” The track was his 2015 Get Physical hit titled “Kill It” which is still getting rinsed by the Desert Hearts Crew today. We immediately hit it off with Jordan and expressed our love for his m.O.N.R.O.E. project. This love was further solidified when he dropped one of our favorite sets at our family Burning Man camp, Pile Palace, this past year.

When we received this demo submission from m.O.N.R.O.E.
alongside Toronto based producer, Daniel Dubb, we were extremely excited as Daniel has been one of our favorite tech house producers to come out over the last
couple of years. With releases on labels such as Suara, Saved, VIVa, and his own imprint DV8, we knew we were in for a treat with this EP.

Around The Black Rock is a Burning Man inspired, 2 track EP that brings forth all our our favorite emotions on the dance floor. If getting lost in a dust storm while rallying with the homies had a soundtrack, the title track would fit perfectly. It’s a gorgeous track that stirs the dance floor pot every time. The B-Side titled 'I Know' is a beautifully deep piano laced track synonymous with the vibe you'd feel during sunrise. It's almost time to get dusty in the desert.
