What’s Up Desert Hearts Family,

I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since I started Desert Hearts Records. It was always a dream of mine to have my own record label that I could curate but it was one of those things that I wasn’t sure would ever come to fruition, let alone become what it is today. Looking back I’m so happy no one would sign my music because that was the motivation I needed to build my own platform.

The whole point of this label has always been to push the Desert Hearts message of love and positive energy as far and wide as possible while giving our friends and family an outlet to express their art. To think that we’ve been able to release music from absolute legends like Doc Martin and Joeski, to international talents like Joyce Muniz and Andreas Henneberg, while helping establish some of our own rising artists like Lubelski, RYBO, and many more, feels like a real blessing. I couldn’t be more grateful to be running this beast alongside my best friends and brother — Lee Reynolds, Marbs, & Porky.

In celebration of 5 years of our label, I’m proud to announce Marbs will be spearheading our new sister label, Desert Hearts Black, which will focus on the darker, more melodic sounds that you’d find on a Desert Hearts dance floor. This is for the heads that like their music trippy.

I want to thank you all for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years. We have the power to change the world through music. So don’t be afraid to start your own label, throw your own party, or foster your own community. That’s how we grow, baby.
